Introducing the Presenter

Andrew Jones

Author and Principal Data Engineer at Springer Nature

Andrew Jones is a Principal Engineer, esteemed author, and recognised Google Developer Expert. He thinks a lot about how to build platforms—particularly data platforms—that drive the creation of business value. His work on building performant, efficient, and well-governed data platforms that facilitate the production and consumption of quality data led him to coin and define "data contracts." In 2023, he authored the seminal book on the topic.

In the recent webinar hosted by the Data Vault User Group, Andrew Jones delved into the critical topic of data quality, emphasizing that prevention is indeed better than the cure. As data practitioners, we often encounter the high costs and poor outcomes associated with poor data quality.
